In a trial that almost everyone thought was a bit peculiar, where a Raleigh officer was suing Starbucks for burns he received after he spilled hot coffee on himself. The officer received a complimentary cup of coffee and accidentally spilled it on himself and got burned.
A Raleigh police officer and his wife were suing the coffee chain for $750,000.
A jury decided that Starbucks is not liable for the officers burns.
