Pastor A.J. Aamir of Resurrecting Faith in Waco, TX has told the women on the church’s leadership staff not to wear weaves, according to Clutch magazine.
Pastor Aamir says he feels that women who wear weave presents false representation of themselves and it shows a sense of low self esteem.
He also argues that many members in the church are struggling financially and he doesn’t see the logic on a mother spending $300 on weave but unable to pay her bills at home.
Legally he can not ban weave from his church, but says he will counsel those members who wear it.
