Taraji P. Henson won the 2016 Golden Globe for best lead actress in a drama series for her role as Cookie Lyon on the TV series Empire.
Henson also received the 2015 NAACP Entertainer of the Year Award and also received an Emmy nomination last year.Henson previously starred for three seasons on the popular CBS drama TV Person Of Interest.
