Florida A&M Offers Family Of Robert Champion $300,000 To End Hazing Lawsuit – Family Rejects Offer

The University of the drum major, Robert Champion, who died following a hazing incident is offering to pay $300,000 to settle the lawsuit.
Champion died almost a year ago after being beaten by other members on the bus during a hazing ritual.
The amount is the maxium the school can offer without seeking approval by the Florida Legislature. The schools attorneys are giving the family 30 days to respond.
