Paneh Mime

Graced with an undeniable and dynamically potent anointing, Paneh Mime Ministries, International (Paneh) is renowned for ushering in the manifest presence of God through the historical art of mime-dance. Each encounter of a Paneh presentation elaborately ministers a message of salvation, deliverance, and hopes to heal the broken hearted and preach deliverance to those that are bound. The ultimate goal of the ministry is to lift up the name of the Lord Jesus, so that He draws all men unto himself.

Founded in 2001, the current trailblazers and visionaries of this impactful ministry are a husband and wife team in the persons of Pastor Timothy and Co-Pastor Chandra Midgette of Durham, North Carolina. The couple silently ministers the word of God through dramatic gestures and animated facial expressions that deliberately provoke an atmosphere of praise and worship through the power of the Holy Spirit that all may desire to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

Paneh has been blessed with innumerous opportunities and invitations to minister to thousands around the world. England and Fiji are a few of the global destinations that have experienced the ministry of Paneh to date. During a miraculous mission trip to Fiji, God blessed Paneh with the providential opportunity to introduce the ministry of mime to the natives, who reportedly had never seen it. As a result, several churches in Fiji have embraced mime as a part of their liturgical arts ministry. Coupled with international requests, domestically, Paneh has been blessed to minister upon platforms with Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, Luther Barnes, Norman Hutchins, Rance Allen, Hezekiah Walker, Paul S. Mortan, William MurphyIII, Wes Morgan, Kim Burel, Karen Clarke-Sheard, just to name a few.

Accessory to Paneh, Pastor Timothy and Co-Pastor Chandra are the founders of The Paneh Center of Durham, a facility dedicated to developing, enhancing and equipping dance-mime ministries for Kingdom service. The Center offers instructional, hands-on workshops that have been directly instrumental in catapulting countless mime ministries across the nation and abroad.

With a calling to equip the nation in mime, in 2004 Paneh developed the “Atmosphere Control Mime Conference.” However, in 2006 God changed the name and direction of the conference, to the annual “Desperate for Him Mime Conference”. Held each year in April, offers a solid introduction to the basics of pantomime by instructing students in the fundamental principles and techniques of the art. It culminates in a spectacular, awe striking concert featuring mimes of all ages ministering simultaneously unto the glory of God. Since April, the conference has included over 1200 mime ministers in attendance from all over the nation, including three international ministries, and garnered a concert attendance of over 2500 people. In addition to the worship experience, the conference provides an opportunity for mime ministries to network and build long lasting relationships while enjoying the matchless glory of God.

After serving as youth pastors for several years, Pastor Timothy and Co-Pastor Chandra Midgette currently serve as senior pastors of Kingdom Builder’s Christian Center in Durham, NC, which they co-founded. As “preacher-mimers” God continues to use them as an outreach to the youth and young adults throughout the nation as they are committed to the educational and spiritual growth and development of the “Now Generation.”
