40th Anniversary Of MLK's Assassination Remembered

It was 48 years ago when Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tenn when he was shot dead.  Such a memorable moment that I’m sure those who lived through it can tell you where they were and what they were doing at the time.

King had traveled to Memphis in support of black sanitation workers who were on strike and protesting against unfair wages and working conditions and getting paid much less than their white counterparts.
