As precipitation continues to fall power lines and trees are being weighted down by the weight of the frozen causing power lines to break.
Thousands of Triangle residents are reporting power outages. Duke Power announced Friday evening that 101,000 customers were without power, 42,000 of those affected are in Wake County.
