Tuesday evening, in his final State of the Union address, President Barack Obama urged Americans to reject the politics of separatism and fear that seems to be the theme of those campaigning to be his successor.
Instead he encouraged them to come together to build a nation that was “clear-eyed, big-hearted” and “optimistic.”
