Beverly Crawford Is Back: “God Is Still Making a Way”
Some voices never fade.
Pastor Beverly Crawford proved that during a heartfelt sit-down with Melissa Wade on The Light 103.9, where the gospel legend opened up about her brand-new single, her 30-year legacy, and the faith that keeps her going strong.
The conversation centered on “Made Away,” Crawford’s latest release and a beautiful collaboration with rising talent Jacquelyn Carr, who wrote and produced the track.
For Crawford, the timing felt divine. After nearly losing her husband, Pastor Todd, and daughter Trina to serious illness two years ago, the song landed in her spirit at just the right moment.
“It met me right where I am,” she shared. “God is still making a way, that he has made a way. He has never left us.”
That message of endurance runs through everything Crawford does. Fans know her powerhouse hits like “He’s Done Enough,” “It’s About Time for a Miracle,” and the beloved “Praise Jehovah,” which Warner Brothers recently re-released across digital platforms. Recorded back in 1995, that anthem still moves people today.
One story stood out. Crawford recalled a woman who played “Praise Jehovah” on repeat while in labor.
“The baby was born,” she said, remembering how she later flew in to sing for that same family at a Catholic church celebration. Now that’s an anointing.
At 62, Crawford shows no signs of slowing down.
“I’m still able at 62 to be able to still do what I’m doing,” she said with gratitude, praising a new era where traditional gospel and the next generation blend beautifully together.
