The state has cited at least four charter schools who are at risk of having their charters revoked because of poor academic performance.
The schools are:
Rocky Mount Preparatory School in Rocky Mount,
Oxford Preparatory School in Oxford
North East Carolina Preparatory School in Tarboro
Phoenix Academy in High Point
The four schools have submitted plans for improvement.
