The IRS announced that in order to collect the money from a return for 2008 you must file it with the IRS no later than Tuesday, April 17, 2012.
To collect the money, for a return in 2009, it must be filed with the IRS no later than Monday, April 15, 2013
The IRS estimates that half of these potential 2008 refunds are $637 or more and refunds for 2009 are more than $500.
