Next month, tons of urban gospel and contemporary Christian artists will gather for a four-day ocean excursion aboard the Xist Urban Gospel Cruise. Setting sail on September 17th-20th from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas and CocoCay, this experience will be like no other for the young, urban gospel crowd of music lovers and believers.

Xist Urban Gospel Cruise coordinator and national recording artist Sean Simmonds.

Not familiar with the Xist Urban Gospel Cruise? It’s the official inspirational undertaking of recording artist Sean Simmonds, one of those gentlemen in music you must keep your eye on because his sound, his energy and his gifts are incredible. But ok, back to the cruise.

This year’s cruise includes daily worship services, the popular “Put You On” live concert series filmed for re-broadcasting and The “White Out Party” – exclusively designed for singles only.

If you’re wondering what familiar faces in urban gospel, Holy Hip Hop, inspirational and contemporary Christian music will be joining the waterfront conference? We’ve got your artist roundup right here in a special photo gallery, but just to give you a glimpse here’s who’s scheduled to attend. (*Note: Artists and participants subject to change.)

Currently attending are Stellar Award-winner DA’ T.R.U.T.H. and Holy Hip Hop’s own The Ambassador. Representing for the ladies will be urban inspirational artist Karima (aka Karima Kibble, formerly of gospel trio Virtue) and urban gospel songstress Lisa McClendon.

The Xist Urban Gospel Cruise sails from Miami to Nassau from September 17-20, 2010.

The conference coordinator and national recording artist Sean Simmonds will also be on deck as well as spiritual leader Pastor John Nixon II. There’s no telling who else will make a surprise appearance aboard the Xist Urban Gospel Cruise so be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for more information.

Think you have the skills even on the dance floor? This year’s cruise adds the Soul2Sole dance showcase, a choir competition the Xist New Artist Showcase and a great deal of fitness workout sessions including a rock climbing wall right there on the ship. There will also be able to say farewell in faith, form and fashion at the official Xist After Party and the Rhythms & Runway fashion show plus so much more.
