President Obama Will Visit New Orleans For Hurricane Katrina Anniversary

President Barack Obama will visit New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 29 to help mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced Friday.
Among other events, Obama will speak at Xavier University of Louisiana, Gibbs said. Cabinet members “who have worked to speed recovery and restoration efforts in the region also will be in New Orleans to mark the anniversary,” Gibbs noted.
