Now that the Wake County school board has passed new directives and policies, it will move forward in developing community assignment zones.

Tuesday, the student assignment committee will meet for the first time in two months with a lot of work ahead of them. The meeting will help the committee members understand how the new policies will change the nature of student assignments.

Wake County school board member John Tedesco said he also plans to present part of his vision for attendance zones during the meeting.
