The Wake County school assignment debate will be the conversation again today with two meeting scheduled about the topic.

N.C. NAACP president Rev. William Barber and school board member John Tedesco – faced off on Thursday during a recording of N.C. Spin – you can watch it on Sunday.

Now that the Wake County school board has passed new directives and policies, it will move forward in developing community assignment zones.

Board member John Tedesco called a special meeting today to layout his concept for the community based school assignment. 

Tuesdays meeting put the Wake County school board back in the familiar 3-4 split on the diversity issue.Â
