Tuesdays meeting put the Wake County school board back in the familiar 3-4 split on the diversity issue.  This time it was over a resolution that says that the Wake system “stands committed to voluntary desegregation in an effort to reduce and prevent minority group isolation and promote cultural integration.”  Some board members don’t think the current change from the diversity-based school assignment represents this resolution.  Others, including John Tedesco, point man for the change, says he doesn’t see where changing the diversity policy would make a difference.  What do you think?
