The Wake County school board filled one of its two vacant seats Tuesday evening. Thomas Benton will fill the District One seat vacated by Chris Malone who was elected to serve on the State House. The board interviewed eight candidates for the seat throughout the day and then voted at Tuesday night’s meeting.
