The Pentagon has announced that hundreds of thousands of civilian employees could face reduced paychecks and furloughs by April.

This proposal is an effort to avoid budget cuts. Fort Bragg said they are currently receiving guidance on ways to cut their budget and that could result in a reduction of force.

Fort Bragg currently has more than 14,000 civilian employees and just under 56,000 military personnel. They say they have been in discussion of what they need to do to trim their budget, and the possibility of cutting their staff is not confirmed at this time.
