Thieves are targeting and stealing catalytic converters from church vans across the Triangle. Officials report several incidents at churches in Rocky Mount, Tarboro and Chapel Hill where catalytic converters have been stolen out of church vans because of the value of their metal.
Police warn churches to park their church vehicle under a light or facing security cameras.
