A forming tropical system near Florida could bring steamy temperatures and significant rain to North Carolina by midweek.
If the tropical storm forms, it would be named Tropical Storm Alberto and will bring constant rain to the Triangle by Wednesday, possibly 4 inches or more.
“Monday will be dry before a chance for showers pops up Tuesday evening,” said Gardner. WRAL Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner says, “By Wednesday, the rain will really be here.”
