During a peaceful protest, snipers located in a nearby parking deck opened fire shooting approximately 11 officers, killing 5 and wounding one civilian on Thursday night.
As demonstrators marched against the shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge and Philando Castile in Minnesota, gunfire started targeting police officers.
This is the deadliest incident for U.S. Law Enforcement since Sept. 11, 2001.
