Durham’s mayor, police chief and sheriff will meet Thursday to discuss solutions to reduce violent crime in the city.
So far the city has two homicides and two others injured in shootings. This comes after a high crime rate last year where more than 40 homicides were reported.
A task force was recently formed to help with the violence. In the meantime the community is speaking out that more needs to be done.
