It was a tough game to watch if you were a Tar Heel fan. Tuesday night the Baylor Bears ran all over Carolina to win the Russell Athletic Bowl 49 to 38. What made the game hard to watch for Carolina fans was no matter what the No. 10 ranked tar Heels tried to do to stop the Bears run game didn’t work.
The No. 17 ranked Bears set a new bowl rushing record with 645 yards, shattering Nebraska’s mark of 524 yards set in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl against Florida.Despite the loss in the Russell Athletic Bowl game the Tar Heels had a very good season finishing with a 11 – 3 record for the season.
