Pope Francis spoke to Congress in Washington today and will head to New York later today and Friday and then wrap up his United States visit Saturday and Sunday in Philadelphia.
While in Philadelphia the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is scheduled to sing for The Pope during Saturday’s Festival of Families concert. Franklin revealed that she will sing “Amazing Grace” and another song that she wouldn’t reveal but she also said she will give the Pope a special gift.
Franklin says she will present the Pope with a box set of sermons of her late father, C.L. Franklin who was also a civil rights activist.
