TBR — Richmond, VA — It was only two years ago when Zion’s Voice was created under the leadership of Monica Lucus.  Emerging out of the Capitol city of Richmond, Virginia this young adult gospel choir sees the sky as the limit.

Most recently the group traveled to Washington, D.C., to sing background for Gospel Music Legend Dorothy Norwood.  They were energetic, appealing and delivered the vocal background support that Norwood needed.

Most recently the group has wrapped up their studio recording for the debut CD, entitled “The Journey”and is currently slated for a Fall 2015 release.

When asked if Zion’s voice had change its name, visionary Monica Lucas said, “No. However because David Wilson, who is a group member and is responsible for the lions share of this project in addition to writing most of the most, we thought it was fitting that we titled this project with David’s name out front.

Needless to say but Zion’s Voice has surpassed all expectations since its inception with numerous opportunities to minister at churches, conferences and much more including the East Coast Gospel Music Summer Fest, Gospel Music Fest with The Belle and now often serving as the backup singers for Dorothy Norwood along with appearances on Bobby Jones Gospel.

Zion’s Voice was also selected to minister along with Deitrick Haddon at the 2014 Transformation Expo, where  more than 4,000 people were in attendance and has  also had the opportunity to sing with national artists such as Jekalyn Carr and Jonathan Nelson.

As an extension of their music ministry the group has committed itself to community projects such as feeding homeless citizens throughout the Richmond Metro Area several times during the year and responding to support and pray for families effected by gun violence.

Zion’s Voice is supported by its Co-Founder Monica Lucas; Director of Music, avid L. Wilson Jr. a core of talented Musicians and a supportive Parent Advisory  Board, all  in addition to many Family and Friends who pray regularly with and for this ministry.
