Reverend William E. Daye is considered by his peers as the Father of all Ministers in Durham. He is the oldest pastor in Durham who leads a congregation. He has been pastoring for 53 years and is NO WAYS TIRED. He is guided by the scripture “Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and All These Things Shall Be Added Unto You.”
Reverend Daye has pastored six churches during his 53 years, and has led the construction effort of two new churches.
He has pastored Kearneys Chapel Baptist Church, Henderson, N.C.; Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, Creedmoor, N.C.; Ebenezer Baptist Church, Durham, N.C.; First Baptist Church, Mebane, N.C.; Dickies Grove Baptist Church in Henderson, N.C.; Peace Missionary Baptist Church, Durham, N.C.
Currently, Pastor Daye leads a congregation of over 500 members at Peace Missionary Baptist Church where he has been ministered for 40 years. He leads with a servant’s heart and has such a passion for teaching personal Christian growth.
His Ministries at Peace include:

His Outreach Ministries include:
• Hurricane Victims Assistance

A native of Durham, Pastor Daye holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree and an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity.
He and First Lady Nora Daye have four daughters, and six grandchildren.
