Four Children Burned on Durham School Bus

The fire department reported that a bus radiator overheated causing hot liquid to leak out into the passenger compartment causing four children to get burned. It happened in Durham Monday afternoon on the corner of Angier Avenue and South Hoover Road.

The children were taken to Duke University Medical Center for treatment, three of the students were transferred to the burn center at UNC Hospital. It was reported that they had second degree burns on their legs.

The bus was from the in Durham.

Officials are looking into what may have caused the radiator to malfunction.
