It’s been about a month since a man reported being attacked on Durham’s American Tobacco Trail and now a woman is reporting being mugged at approximately the same spot.
A young woman was mugged while rollerblading around 7:15 last night when an armed man approached her and took her phone.
The suspect was described as a black male in his 30s, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He was wearing a black t-shirt, red Adidas sneakers and a black doo-rag.
There have been a series of incidents along the trail in recent months, prompting extra police patrols and other safety measures. Durham police reported that they feel the trails in Durham are still safe.
