Officials say a UNC-CH senior, 20-year-old woman was killed by a falling tree in the 300 block of Chapel Hill’s Franklin Street . A bystander pulled her from under the tree but she was unresponsive and rushed to UNC hospital where she later died.
The strong storm left thousands in the area with out power.
