Uncle Sam doesn’t play.

For years Grammy award winning singer Lauryn Hill has been under the radar by the IRS for not paying taxes on more than 1.8 million earned from 2005 to 2007 and now it’s all come to an end.

Yesterday Hill was in federal court and was sentenced to 3 months in jail, a fine of $60,000 and parole supervision for a year after her release with the first 3 months being under home confinement.

Hill lawyers were hopeful that she would walk away with just probation after having paid more than $90,000 in the past several days prior to the court date, but it seems it was too little too late.
