Bishop Eddie Long Sued By Former Members

Bishop Eddie Long is being sued by a dozen former members of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church who say he encouraged them to invest in a company that was operating an alleged Ponzi scheme.
New Birth members lost more than $1 million. Members told the Journal-Constitutuion, “If Bishop Eddie Long hadn’t endorsed businessman Ephren W. Taylor as a “friend,” they wouldn’t have invested.
Long’s church has urged Taylor to repay investors with interest.
