Going Green! This Saturday’s commencemt will feature graduates in plastic gowns.
The Times-News of Burlington says the university’s graduates gowns will be made from recycled plastic bottles with each gown consisting of about 23 bottles.
Elon’s director says this shows their committment to the enviroment.
The gowns are made by a Virginia-based company and the only parts not made from recycled materials are the zipper and tack that holds the cap’s button in place.
