The new generation of Gospel Music has ushered in a new rhythmic sound that appeals to a young energetic audience. One of the newest Urban Gospel artists to join this musical revolution is Eric Simmons. His sound is a distinct blend of Gospel, Pop, R&B, and inspiration which he calls Rhythmspiration.
Eric Simmons is a gifted vocalist that left a secular music career to pursue his calling to the ministry. His passion and dedication to ministering the word of God has placed him on the popular TBN television program Praise the Lord, and Radio-One’s Praise 103.9. His music has been a significant part of his ministry over the past few years, leading Eric to sign with the popular independent Gospel label Flow Music & Entertainment.
“Eric Simmons is the perfect blend of gospel, and rhythm & blues. His lyrics speak to the world we live in today, with a strong message of praise and love for Jesus Christ. With a true dedication to kingdom building, Eric is also the author of a book entitled “The Power of a Prepared Preacher” which serves as a training manual for new ministers. Holding a certificate in critical incident and stress management, via the American Association of Christian Counselors, and a certificate for interactive training, via Temple University, he continues to pursue his Masters Degree at Philadelphia Biblical University.
Eric is currently the pastor of First Baptist Church of Paschal, in Philadelphia, PA where he resides with his wife and 4 children. One thing we know for sure is, Eric Simmons, will join the ranks as a leader in this newly respected and now diverse industry we call Gospel Music.
