As Tyler Perry continues to be a success, Lionsgate announced their new multiyear first-look partnership deal with him.
This new deal would give Lionsgate the first right to accept or refuse a project from Tyler Perry. Perry has had tremendous success with Lionsgate in the past with hits like: For Colored Girls, Why Did I Get Married and Too? Diary of a Mad Black Woman and soon Madea’s Big Happy Family to be released in theatres April 22nd.
In the past Lionsgate and Tyler Perry have grossed over $520 million at the box office.
