President Barack Obama’s new children’s book “Of Thee I Sing” sold 50,000 copies in its first five days, Random House Children’s Books announced Tuesday.
The picture book, which Obama wrote before he was president, has become the fastest selling picture book in the company’s history, the publisher stated.
“Of Thee I Sing” was released on Nov. 16 as a tribute to Jackie Robinson, George Washington and other Americans
Obama is donating his proceeds from it to a scholarship fund for children of disabled and fallen soldiers.
