The beginning of July is bringing in some incresingly hot temperatures that could reach 99 degrees on Thursday.

The forecast is rain-free through the work week and the daily high temperatures will be about 10 degrees above the 30-year norm for this time of year.  Temperatures will hit 95 degrees Monday, 96 on Tuesday, 98 on Wednesday and 99 on Thursday.  Stay posted because a heat advisory could go into effect if the heat index exceeds 105 for more than three hours in a given day.

Be sure to check on the children and the elderly and those with illnesses.  The death toll for children being killed while left in hot cars have already exceeded last year – it only takes 15 minutes for a child to die in a hot car.
