Around 8,000 Wake County students are expected to graduate this year, beginning Friday with the Wake Early College of Health and Sciences graduation ceremony. Theirs will be the first class to graduate from the early college’s high school program. Of the 54 students graduating from the program, 19 of them have earned two-year college degrees in addition to completing their high school requirements. Those students will receive their diplomas at Southeast Raleigh High School at 7 p.m. Friday.
