Wake County Board of Education must cut millions of dollars in budgets which could impact area teachers. School budget cuts could mean $20 – $30 million in cuts, which may include eliminating 46 vacant positions and 70 fillied positions. Board member Keith Sutton says the are doing everthing they can to preserve the classroom and not have to make teacher & staff cuts but it seems unlikely that they will be able to do that. The board will recieve a layoff list a today’s meeting.
