Parents may be saying, “Oh No, not another day out of school…. Officials say that it could be Wednesday before road crews for the North Carolina Department of Transportation are able to clear snow and ice from secondary roads in some parts of the state. Crews spent Saturday and Sunday clearing major U.S. and state roads and yesterday cleared about 50% of secondary roads in Wake County. DOT engineer Jason Holmes said, “There is still a lot of secondary routes that are partially to fully covered in areas.”
