If you know anything about Chapel Hill and where to find the best southern “home cooking” then you knew Mama Dip’s Kitchen.  It was just like being in mama’s or grandma’s kitchen at home the atmosphere and love she gave and the taste of the delicious food.

WRALnews reports that Mildred Cotton Council aka “Mama Dip,” passed away at UNC Hospital Sunday night.

Council, who turned 89 last month, was known for her southern cooking and boisterous, warm laugh.
