Y’Anna is Season 2 Winner of BET’s Sunday Best Competition; her debut album entitled The Promise debuted #2 on the Billboard Gospel Charts. The following year she was the Stellar Award Winner for New Artist of The Year. Since then, she has started a non-profit organization for at risk youth specifically teen girls called The Promise Foundation.
She has garnered crossover success as an artist and writer; she penned two songs, including the title track Rich Girl for soul singer Angie Stone (the other song was Do Whatcha Gotta Do), she’s also featured on Angie Stone’s Sisters, a ladies empowerment anthem. Currently Y’Anna is a certified Zumba instructor, she’s working on New Music while promoting her brand new single We Need You, and her one woman stage play.
