A biopic about Gospel Music legend Mahalia Jackson is set to be directed by Bill Duke, according to Indiewire.
The film is said to be based on the book by Laurraine Goreau, “Just Mahalia, Baby,” which depicts Jackson’s rise from poverty to becoming the Gospel Music legend.
