ABC1’s meteorologist “Big Weather” Don Schwenneker says our listening area is under a marginal risk for severe weather today and tomorrow.

This storm system is the same cells that brought hail, high winds and some tornadoes to the nation’s midsection Tuesday and now it’s heading our way.

ABC11 Meteorologist Don “Big Weather” Schwenneker says a front from the north is stalling close to the Virginia/North Carolina border, but it will be close enough to the region to help bring hit-and-miss shower and thunderstorm activity Wednesday afternoon.

There is about a 50% chance that you’ll see rain or an isolated t-storm today and a 60% chance for tomorrow.
