Two highway workers and a driver were hospitalized Tuesday after a collision on Interstate 440.Raleigh police said officers were dispatched to a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian at about 1:25 p.m. on I-440 at the Capital Boulevard exit.
Authorities said that a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Angela Renee Roland struck two Department of Transportation employees who were on foot, as well as their parked truck.
Raleigh police said Darrick Bridges, 44, was pinned between the car and the parked truck and a Kelly Lewis, 46, was hit by the car and thrown over the guardrail. Officials said Lewis was discharged from the hospital.
