Today is Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day which began back on May 5, 1979 and has been going for 37 years and today is no exception.
This is Ben & Jerry’s way to thank their loyal customers.
The Free “cream” will start at noon until 8 p.m. local time.

Many Ben & Jerry’s outlets do a little more than just give away free scoops but they also use it to raise funds for the community and environment. Ask your local store what they are doing and how you can donate.
Store managers say, “There is no pressure to donate,” … “But since you aren’t paying for your ice cream on this day, if you can find it in your heart and pocketbook to drop a dollar or two in their buckets… ”
