Tina Campbell has shared her tough struggle with life, including infidelity from husband Teddy; and her testimony of forgiveness has ministered to many. Now she shares even more details about her inward struggle with herself and depression.
During a promotional event for her new book and album, gospel singer Tina revealed that her father’s death and husband’s infidelities were more than she could handle. These situations lead her into nightmare battles with depression and thoughts of “wanting to die.”
Tina told the audience, “I’ve been saved all my life and a representative of the Gospel could get so low that I wanted to die, kill my children, kill my husband and kill everybody, and go out with a bang, because life was that bad. But that’s exactly where I was in 2013, and God alone saved my life.”
Campbell’s book, “I Need a Day to Pray,” and her latest album, “It’s Personal,” are both available and in stores now.
