There were numerous power outages in the area caused by ice build up on power lines and trees. Saturday the weight of the ice caused power lines to break and trees to fall bring down power lines.
In Garner a big problem on Saturday was ice weighing down trees and causing them to fall bringing down power lines with them.
Residents in Garner are still effected by outages but the number of people without power is declining.
