Wednesday KCTV 5 reported that a misdemeanor criminal summons has been served to Brunswick County’s $188 million Powerball winner, Marie Holmes. The news comes on the day of the historic 1.5 billion Powerball Jackpot drawing.

According to court documents the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Lorna Marlowe accused Holmes of making threatening and harassing phone calls on Jan. 10. The complaint was filed that same day by Marlowe.

The criminal summons alleges Holmes threatened to “inflict bodily harm” on Marlowe. It also states Holmes “repeatedly for the purpose of harassing” called Marlowe. Holmes’ Brunswick County court date is set for Feb. 12 at 9 a.m.
