According to police, 56 year old Gregory K. Parks was charged with the death of 20 year old Isabel Calvo Palacios, who has been missing since July 31.  On Wednesday Parks, who is a felon, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree kidnapping.

Parks is currently being held without bond at the Wilson County Jail.  Palacios’ body has not yet been located by authorities however Captain Kendra Howell says the search continues for Palacios.

Parks was previously convicted in 2013 in Wilson County on two counts of participating in the prostitution of a minor. He was released from prison 27 years early after the conviction was overturned by the North Carolina Court of Appeals due to lack of evidence.

Parks has several other previous convictions including manslaughter and attempted first-degree and second-degree rape.  Police say the last time Palacios was seen was by friends at Parks’ home at 4710 Ward Boulevard on July 31.

Captain Eric Smith claims that police are investigating other cases that might be tied to alleged criminal activity at Park’s home.  Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to call Wilson Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
