Retired NBA player Rodney Rogers was in the Triangle this weekend to help kids in his old neighborhood.
Rogers was drafted in 1993 but attended Hillside High Schoool in Durham and Wake Forest University prior to being drafted.
This past Saturday Rogers visited and gave back to the community he grew up around, by giving out book bags and schools supplies to the kids at McDougald Terrace Park.
The event also featured free music and food.
